Castles N’ Coasters

Castles and Coasters

Castles N’ Coasters is an amusement park and family amusement center located in Phoenix, Arizona. The park features several rides, indoor video game arcade, and an 18-hole miniature golf course. With themes such as an interesting Middle-Eastern and a Wild West area, the park entertains many while exposing them to a new way of life. With an impressive all-year-round operating season, this theme park is one that you should definitely stop by on your way through Arizona.

The title of the park is a little misleading. While the title suggests a heavy reliance on roller coasters, the park only features 2. However it does have 2 water rides, and a large amount of thrill-inducing rides to give you the most out of your park experience without the velocity. The park has two free-fall towers, Sky Diver and Free Fall, that can drop you up to 120 and 80 feet respectively. The park also has a large amount of family-friendly rides (which take up the bulk of the park’s amusement events) that are safe for children but also extremely fun for teenagers and parents alike.

The family friendly rides are what takes up most of the parks fun activities. Sea Dragon is a large swinging Viking Ship that is both fun and thrilling. The Ram Rod is a classic game of bumper cars that no amusement park would be complete without. Magic Carpet takes things to a whole other level as a music express ride that takes you through “Aladdin’s Castle” (completing the Castles N’ Coasters” and goes both forward and backward. But one of the most interactive activities that the park entertains is probably the Li’l Indy (in reference to the Indy 500). The Li’l Indy is a go-cart track that passes under the Desert Storm (one of the park roller coasters that has 2 loops in it) to make it extra exciting!

To complete the park, Castles N’ Coasters includes arcades, Dixie Jr. Wheel (a miniature Ferris wheel), Flying Bugs & Spinning Tops (kiddie rides located near the Desert Storm queue line) and a Carrousel. These rides truly complete the park’s versatility as a family friendly amusement center. Also, don’t forget about the Wild West themed miniature golf courses, which features four courses in all for 18 holes, each with trick shots and many water features (or hazards in this case!).

Overall the Castles N’ Coasters amusement park and center is certainly an area to check out if you have a few days to kill in Arizona. While it is certainly not something to go out of your way to visit unless you are on a road trip through the country for this reason, it is certainly something to check out if you have the time. Castles N’ Coasters is located in Phoenix, Arizona and is open year round.
